I thought putting a few songs online would be straightforward. Then came the font choices, mailing lists and late-night arguments with myself about the menu.

Should About come before Music? How much space should there be around a button? I now have opinions about these things. I hadn’t expected that.

Getting the mailing list to send out a free track took some doing. At one point I was trying to connect a signup form to an MP3 without sending myself seventeen test emails at 2am.

Still, the website is up. You can listen to the music, read about the album and sign up for a free download of This Beautiful Life.

Now I’m wondering whether anyone will visit. I’m hoping at least one friend will click the link. Possibly two, if somebody refreshes the page.

I’m pleased to have a home for the music, with room for the lyrics and the stories behind the songs. Keeping it up to date will be the next challenge. Having spent this long getting it working, I suppose I’d better write something here occasionally.

And if you join the mailing list, I promise the automation will behave itself.

Probably.
